Stephan Reinhardt:" The 2022 Rauenthal Estate is deep, refined and flinty but also supple and fruity on the elegant nose that is reminiscent of juicy seed fruits such as pears, yellow apples and quinces spiced with phyllite slate plates. Medium to full-bodied, this is a mouth-filling yet precise and refined, very elegant and saline Riesling with fine tannins and remarkably ripe, juicy and elegant fruit. It is finer than the Lorcher and more hedonistic than the Rüdesheimer without being powerful or rich. 11.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted at the domaine in September 2023."
